Women’s mulitiplier
I grew up in Birmingham in a youth group that stirred my heart towards obedience, but it wasn’t until I was on my own in college that I truly gave my life over to Jesus. I began meeting with two friends with no agenda other than to meet with Jesus. On these evenings we experienced the love and presence of Jesus in a fresh and raw way that ignited our hearts to further surrender to Him.
This is also when I began having a heart for unreached people groups. I spent a summer studying Arabic at the University of Jordan and saw God’s heart for Muslim people. After graduating from Samford University in 2012 the Lord drew me to serve with Youth with a Mission in Denver, Colorado. There I had the honor to lead two outreach teams to Nepal to show the students what it looked like to serve among unreached people groups. The Lord continued to satisfy my longing to serve young people through YWAM until my husband and I Van got married in 2016.
We had our first daughter in 2017 while working for on a church plant in Louisville Kentucky. We both felt a stirring to pursue God’s heart for the lost and moved overseas as a family of 3 to the Middle East in 2019.
We have since returned and had two more little girls Heidi and Penny. I recently completed my Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and look forward to using my degree to serve the women in our church. In our free time we enjoy biking, swimming, camping, and doing pretty much anything outside with our kids!
