Jonathan Fletcher

Pastor of Communities & Multiplication

Growing up in the Bible Belt as the son of a pastor, I was surrounded by all things church. We moved around a lot when I was young, and I played competitive soccer for much of my formative years. I struggled to understand Christianity until my senior year of high school, when I joined a Tuesday night small group. This small group was the first time I was a part of a community following Jesus together. Since then, God has continued to put mentors and friends in my life who have shown me what the church ought to be: a community of people reorienting their lives around being with Jesus and becoming like Him.

I was raised in Jackson, MS. I met my wife, Katie, right before I graduated from Mississippi College in 2017. The first traits I noticed about Katie were a deep passion for the marginalized and a profound heart for service. We married in 2019 and had our daughter, Eden, in May 2023.

I was a public school history teacher for three years in Mississippi and taught Bible and history for three years at Heritage Christian Academy here in Birmingham. I served on Antioch staff part-time for a year before coming on staff full time in June 2023. I am wrapping up my Master of Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

You can find me playing soccer, hiking with my dog Ollie when I'm outside, or reading a good book with a cup of coffee in hand. Katie and I are also moonlighting as amateur gardeners.
